What is a CPO program?
CPO, which stands for certified pre-owned, is a program offered by top automakers to deliver handpicked, quality vehicles that have passed a rigorous inspection and high quality standards. Today, nearly all automakers offer a CPO program, and AutoNation is proud to present some of the best CPO vehicles on the market.
What are the perks of CPO programs?
CPO vehicles are better than the average bear when it comes to buying a used car. You'll find that they're often cheaper, have been road-tested by another consumer previously, and more than likely to offer better financing than you'd find on a standard used car deal.
Some of the perks that you can get on a CPO vehicle mimic those on a new vehicle, such as:

- no or low deductibles for service
- and complimentary loaners.

Acura CPO Program
To qualify for Acura's CPO program, cars must be less than six years old with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer.
These cars undergo a 182-point inspection, and they are given an additional two years of warranty coverage (and the mileage cap is raised to 100,000 miles). On top of this, Acura CPO cars also include roadside assistance, concierge service, three months of free SiriusXM Satellite Radio and the first scheduled maintenance is free.

Audi CPO Program
Audi has one of the strictest set of guidelines vehicles have to meet before getting the certified pre-owned title.
This starts with vehicles that are less than five model years old, under 60,000 miles, and can pass a rigorous 300-point inspection. The factory warranty is fully transferred to the new owner, but vehicles with an expired warranty will get an extra 12 months of coverage (with no mileage limitation). CPO buyers also receive 24-hour roadside assistance, and a three-month complimentary subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Audi doesn't specifically offer a vehicle return/exchange program, but dealers do have the option to replace or exchange vehicles if a customer isn't happy.

Buick/GMC/Chevrolet CPO Programs
GM's Buick, Chevrolet and GMC dealers offer an extensive CPO program on vehicles that are less than six model years old with under 75,000 miles.
These vehicles come with a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper to bumper warranty as well as a six-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and GM's CPO program also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles. There's also a vehicle exchange program, which means if you don't like the car, you can exchange it within three days or 150 miles, and these vehicles come with a three-month subscription to OnStar and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

Honda CPO Program
Honda is unique in that it offers a two-tier CPO program depending on the age of the car.
All CPO vehicles must be less than five years old with under 80,000 miles, but CPO vehicles that are less than a year old and have under 12,000 miles qualify for the HondaTrue+ CPO program, which tacks on an extra two-year/50,000-mile warranty on top of the factory's new vehicle warranty. All other CPO vehicles get an additional 12-months/12,000-mile warranty. Roadside assistance, a three-month SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial and two complimentary oil changes (within the first year of ownership) are also included.

Hyundai CPO Program
Hyundai is already known for having one of the best new-car warranties, and it's certified pre-owned vehicles are just as good.
In addition to a 173-point inspection, Hyundai offers a free Carfax vehicle history report on all of its CPO cars. To qualify, these cars must be less than five years old with fewer than 60,000 miles, and CPO customers get an extra 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. On top of this, CPO Hyundai vehicles also come with rental car reimbursement, travel interruption reimbursement, 10 years of complimentary roadside assistance and three months of free SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

Mercedes-Benz CPO Program
Not only must a Mercedes-Benz be less than six years old with a clean vehicle history, to qualify for CPO, cars must also have a history of regular maintenance.
After that, the vehicles must pass a 165-point inspection, and they are covered for an extra 12 months and unlimited mileage beyond the factory four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty. Mercedes-Benz CPO vehicles also come with 24-hour roadside assistance, and customers have the added peace of mind thanks to a seven-day/500-mile Vehicle Exchange Program.
