  3. Editor's Picks: Our Favorite Car Colors for 2021

Exterior view of a green sports car

Even though white, black, grey and silver represented the most popular color choices for new vehicles in 2020, there are still plenty of options if you're looking for a bolder paint job. Automakers from Acura to Volvo offer paint colors that come in all colors of the rainbow, literally, to help your next car stand out from the rest of the crowd. So check out AutoNation Drive's favorite car colors for 2021.

Red Mist Metallic

Without a doubt, the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette has been one of the most popular vehicles introduced in the last year, and this mid-engine sports car looks its hottest when painted in the available Red Mist Metallic hue. This color was introduced as a new $995 option for 2021, and it looked absolutely amazing during our week long test drive of this Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe.

Thermal Orange

It's not uncommon to see bright, high-impact colors on a supercar, but it is a rare sight to see a color like Acura's Thermal Orange on an SUV. Originally used on the Acura NSX hybrid supercar, this color was later introduced on the limited-production 2021 Acura RDX PMC Edition. This luxury SUV is hand built by the same team that makes the NSX, and only 360 examples will be assembled.

Flare Yellow

The 2021 Lexus LC500 is a stunning car in any color, but this performance is impossible to miss when painted in the Flare Yellow paint job. We were able to test drive the LC in this color when it was introduced last year, and it wasn't a surprise how much attention the car received. If you like the color but not the LC500's six-figure price tag, Lexus also offers this color on the RC F Sport.

Velocity Blue

The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is an exciting new vehicle thanks to its off-road capability and easy modifications, and with an assortment of bright colors available, Ford ensured its rugged SUV had plenty of personality. One of the best on this new Bronco is Ford's Velocity Blue paint job, which is used on other Ford products including the Mustang and F-150 Tremor.

Mamba Green

The 2021 Porsche Taycan is definitely a green car with its all-electric performance drivetrain, and Porsche went a step further to make this sedan even greener by offering it in Mamba Green. Of the plethora of colorful hues available on the Taycan, Mamba Green is our favorite, as it looks like a slightly lighter version of British Racing Green.

Hellraisin

Dodge has been delivering high-impact colors since the 1960s, and this trend continues on modern-day muscle cars like the 2021 Dodge Charger and 2021 Dodge Challenger. Both of these cars offer a rainbow of colors (including Indigo Blue), but our favorite is Hellraisin. Whether you choose the V-6 base model or the high-powered SRT Hellcat Redeye, you can opt for either of these cars in this striking, dark purple hue.
