The AutoNation Cure Bowl

AutoNation Cure Bowl Celebrates Three Years "Tackling Cancer"

On the field they may be adversaries, but off the field players from Western Kentucky and Georgia State joined forces for a common goal-to celebrate and honor those fighting breast cancer today, and those who may face it tomorrow. And while Georgia State won the game by a score of 27 to 17 in a hard-fought victory, the battle will truly be won when a cure for breast cancer is found once and for all.

In true Cure Bowl Spirit, AutoNation and the Orlando Sports Foundation presented a check for $3.3 Million to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and brave cancer survivors unveiled the AutoNation Drive Pink Quilt during halftime. The 24-foot quilt features more than 250 squares handmade by AutoNation Associates to recognize someone touched by cancer.

Also honored at the game was nine-year old cancer survivor Roman Artero, whose wish to attend the Cure Bowl was granted by AutoNation.

Kick off for AutoNation Cure Bowl #4 is December 15, 2018. Hope to see you there!
